I’m Victor Matos, the proud owner of Victor Matos – Mortgage Agent – Insurance and Investments Advisor.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I've always been interested in financial matters, so after completing my education, I worked for the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Each day gave me exposure and experience to the world of payments, mortgages, loans and investments, which enhanced my financial acumen.

After gaining eleven years of experience with RBC, I decided to combine my expertise and become a mortgage agent and an insurance/ investment advisor.

Since starting my company twenty-one years ago, the industry has evolved for the better. For example, there are far more resources available, it’s faster to access information, and sophisticated products can be adapted to suit clients’ unique circumstances.

I admire people who acknowledge their situation but don’t give up. Sometimes some challenges are demanding, and I don’t mind advising people, even if it means that sometimes I don’t do business with them.

I also realize that I get compensated according to my effort, so the more I do to satisfy the clients, the more successful I become. Therefore, I respect people’s privacy, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart is my customer service. It includes being non-judgemental and always readily available to serve.

I also attribute my success to my honest feedback, as I’m always upfront with clients, even if it means telling them what they don’t want to hear. In addition, when I don’t know something, I will truthfully say to the client that I will find out the information instead of inventing something to appease them.

When I help clients in challenging situations, they appreciate my dedication and stay loyal to me for future business. They also refer my services to their friends, which is rewarding.

When I’m not consulting clients, I enjoy camping, riding my bike, walking my dog, and spending quality time with my family.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
